Job Title: Head, Accounts & Finance

Role Summary
The Head, Accounts & Finance is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and sustainable profitability across Bukka Hut’s multi-outlet operations.
The role drives financial planning, cost optimization, compliance, and performance analytics to support business growth, expansion, and operational excellence.
Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports with actionable insights.
Establish financial dashboards to track outlet-level and corporate performance.
Drive data-driven decision-making through financial analytics.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management:
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure business continuity.
Optimize cash utilization across outlets and central operations.
Oversee banking relationships, financing arrangements, and investment activities.
Cost Management & Operational Efficiency:
Drive cost optimization initiatives across procurement, logistics, and operations.
Monitor food cost, labour cost, and overhead expenses against benchmarks.
Partner with Operations to improve unit economics and outlet profitability.
Ensure inventory controls and minimize wastage, shrinkage, and variances.
Compliance, Audit & Risk Management:
Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
Lead internal and external audit processes and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Establish robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Manage financial risks, fraud prevention, and governance frameworks.
Payroll & Financial Operations Oversight:
Oversee payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.
Ensure seamless financial operations including accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations.
Drive automation and process improvements in financial systems.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting:
Present financial reports and insights to the Board and Executive Management.
Manage relationships with external stakeholders (auditors, tax authorities, banks).
Provide financial guidance to department heads and business unit leaders.
Team Leadership & Capability Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team.
Build a high-performance finance function with strong accountability and controls.
Drive continuous learning, process discipline, and operational excellence within the team.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA is an advantage).
Professional certification required (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent).
Minimum of 10–12 years’ experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong experience in QSR, FMCG, Retail, or multi-unit operations is highly preferred.

N10,000,000 - N15,000,000 Monthly.
