We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Marketing Area Manager

Locations: Abuja, Lagos, Ibadan - Oyo, Enugu, Adamawa and Uyo - Akwa Ibom

Description

  • The Marketing Area Manager is responsible for leading and supervising Medical Representatives within the assigned territory to achieve sales and collections objectives and market expansion.
  • The successful candidate will drive business growth by developing sales strategies, strengthening customer relationships, coaching team members, and ensuring effective market coverage.

Responsibilties

  • Supervise and manage Medical Representatives within the assigned territory.
  • Drive the achievement of sales targets and business objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective sales and territory management strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, distributors, and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular field coaching and performance evaluations for Medical Representatives.
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide strategic market intelligence.
  • Prepare and submit accurate sales and market performance reports.
  • Ensure proper implementation of promotional activities and marketing campaigns.

Requirements
Education:

  • B.Sc Degree in any Science-related discipline.

Experience:

  • 3–4 years’ experience as an Area Manager in a pharmaceutical company.
  • Must have successfully supervised 5–6 Medical Representatives.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share.

Skills And Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and business development skills.
  • Good knowledge of hospitals, doctors, pharmacists, and the pharmaceutical market.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.

Key Attributes:

  • Age not exceeding 42 years.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making ability.
  • Result-driven with excellent team management skills.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to work under pressure and travel extensively.
  • Must know how to drive and possess a valid driver’s license.
