Job Title: Mobile Developer (React Native and Expo)

Location: Utako, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Mobile Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining cross-platform mobile applications for Android and iOS using React Native and Expo.
• The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of mobile application architecture, API integration, performance optimization, and modern development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and Expo.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive and responsive user interfaces.
• Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and user experience.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Manage application deployment to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
• Work closely with backend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.
• Stay updated with emerging mobile technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience developing mobile applications with React Native.
• Strong proficiency in React Native.
• Hands-on experience with Expo and the Expo ecosystem.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Knowledge of state management libraries such as Redux, Context API, or Zustand.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Familiarity with Firebase services (Authentication, Firestore, Push Notifications, Analytics) is an added advantage.
• Experience with mobile app deployment to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
• Understanding of mobile application security best practices.
• Knowledge of responsive design principles and mobile UI/UX guidelines.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications is an added advantage.
• Proven portfolio of published or deployed mobile applications.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new technologies.
