Job Title: Logistics Manager

Key Responsibilities
Logistics Operations:
Plan, coordinate, and supervise the movement of products, raw materials, and equipment across all Company locations.
Develop efficient transportation schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
Optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
Monitor daily logistics activities and resolve operational challenges promptly.
Oversee the utilization, maintenance, and performance of the Company's fleet.
Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules to maximize fleet availability.
Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle performance, and operating costs.
Ensure compliance with vehicle inspection and roadworthiness requirements.
Third-Party Logistics Management:
Identify, evaluate, and manage third-party logistics providers and transport partners.
Negotiate transportation contracts and service level agreements.
Monitor transporter performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Maintain a reliable database of approved logistics partners.
Distribution & Delivery Management
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
Monitor truck turnaround times and delivery performance.
Coordinate dispatch activities with Sales, Operations, Production, and Depot teams.
Resolve delivery-related issues to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
Collaborate with Procurement, Warehouse, Production, and Sales teams to ensure product availability.
Monitor stock movement and support inventory optimization.
Ensure proper documentation of all logistics transactions.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
Ensure strict compliance with Company HSE policies and regulatory requirements.
Promote safe transportation practices and enforce compliance by Company drivers and third-party transporters.
Investigate logistics incidents and recommend corrective actions.
Reporting & Performance Management
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics performance reports.
Track logistics costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
Develop and monitor logistics KPIs.
Present operational reports and recommendations to Executive Management.
Leadership & Administration
Lead, supervise, and mentor logistics personnel.
Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The successful candidate will be evaluated based on:

Fleet utilization and availability.
Truck turnaround time.
Logistics cost optimization.
Vehicle maintenance compliance.
Customer delivery satisfaction.
Third-party transporter performance.

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Professional certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (CILT, CISCM, APICS, etc.) will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
At least 3 years in a managerial position.
Experience in the oil and gas, agriculture, manufacturing, FMCG, or logistics industry will be a distinct advantage.
