Job Description

• Lajfort Schools is seeking a qualified and passionate English Language Teacher to join our secondary school located in Iju, Ota, Ogun State.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, developing students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, and preparing students for internal and external examinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English Language to junior and/or senior secondary school students
• Prepare lesson plans in line with the approved curriculum
• Assess, record, and report students’ academic progress
• Prepare students for examinations (WAEC/NECO as applicable)
• Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school activities
• Support students’ academic and moral development

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in English
• Bachelor of Science/Arts (B.Sc/B.A) in English or a related field with PGDE
• TRCN certification is an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a secondary school (preferred)
• Strong command of spoken and written English
• Good classroom management and communication skills
• Basic ICT skills and knowledge of modern teaching methods.
