As we continue expanding across Africa, we are looking for ambitious Business Development Representatives to help us grow our presence in Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Cameroon, and Nigeria.
We are currently recruiting Business Development Representatives in Nigeria. Applicants should have a strong understanding of their local market and business environment.

Role Overview
We are looking for highly motivated, entrepreneurial individuals who are passionate about sales and business growth.
As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying, acquiring, and growing relationships with businesses that can benefit from Lemonade Payments.
You will play a critical role in expanding our merchant network, driving transaction growth, and establishing Lemonade Payments as the preferred payments partner in your market.
Working closely with the Growth, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams, you will ensure merchants are successfully onboarded, actively transacting, and receiving an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and acquire businesses that can benefit from Lemonade Payments
Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through prospecting, referrals, networking, and outbound outreach
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective merchants
Guide businesses through onboarding, KYC, integration, and activation
Ensure merchants begin actively transacting on the platform and continue growing their usage
Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers to maximize retention and revenue
Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and issue resolution
Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to improve our products and services
Represent Lemonade Payments at networking events, conferences, and industry forums where applicable
Meet and exceed monthly sales, revenue, and activity targets
Maintain accurate sales records and reports using the Company's CRM tools
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
Previous experience in business development, B2B sales, fintech, banking
SaaS, telecommunications, or financial services is an added advantage
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Self-driven, ambitious, and results-oriented
Excellent presentation and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a remote team
Familiarity with digital payments and financial technology is desirable
