Blue Phoenix Deepwater Limited is a 100% Nigerian-owned company with offices in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. The company was established to be an international player with regional strength as a provider of underwater and topside IRM (Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance) of FPSOs, Rigs, SPMs, and offshore and onshore terminals /platforms, primarily in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Electrician

Location: Onshore, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Must be fully committed to working safely and for the safe operation, maintenance, installation, testing and fault finding of electrical equipment and systems on board
• Responsible for the safe and efficient working practices of the crew as directed by the Electrical Supervisor
• Assist the Electrical Supervisor in identifying jobs which may require a Risk Assessment
• Undertake duties as allocated or directed by the Electrical Supervisor
• Undertake operational maintenance, planned maintenance, repairs and installation work on the electrical equipment throughout the vessel
• Deputize as necessary for the Electrical Supervisor
• Ensure that all electrical installation, maintenance and repair work is carried out in accordance with the relevant offshore standards and that equipment is fit for purpose.

Required skills and Experience

• Time served level 3 electrical or electronic technician with S/NVQ3 or equivalent and HNC or equivalent
• C&G accredited HV System Operations or equivalent
• Minimum of 7 years relevant experience
• CompEx EX01-EX04 or equivalent
• Experience with High Voltage, Dynamic Positioning and Drilling Control Systems and Hazardous Area Electrical Equipment
• Previous experience as a Senior Electrician on a dynamically positioned deep-water drilling vessel or unit
• Demonstrates good commitment, organization, time management and communication skills.
