Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor

Location: Abuja

Description

• The Senior Auditor assists the Head of Internal Audit to provide assurance over financial reporting, operational efficiency, patient safety controls, clinical governance processes, regulatory compliance, information technology, cybersecurity, procurement, pharmacy operations, revenue assurance and fraud prevention.

Job Functions

• Assist in developing and implementing the Hospital's annual risk-based internal audit plan, enterprise risk assessment audit budget, and strategic assurance activities. initiatives.
• Conduct risk assessment including clinical, operational, financial, ICT cybersecurity, and patient safety risks, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Review the effectiveness of internal controls, including preventive, detective corrective, system controls, segregation of duties, and approval processes.
• Conduct financial and operational audits covering revenue assurance, treasury, payroll, assets, inventory, procurement, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, theatre, patient administration, and other key hospital operations.
• Perform clinical governance and compliance audits to evaluate patient satety, medical records, intection prevention, accreditation, regulatory compliance, and adherence to hospital policies and applicable laws.
• Audit information systems, including the Electra it Medical ers
• access controls, Al governance, and backup processes to strengthen IT controls.
• Support fraud risk management by conducting fraud risk assessments, investigating allegations, reviewing whistleblowing reports, and recommending effective fraud prevention measures.
• Prepare audit reports, monitor implementation of audit recommendations.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Master's Degree (MBA, MSc Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Management, or
• related field) is required.
• Relevant profesional certification such as ACA, ACCAOr CIA.
• Minimum of 15 years post-graduation experience.
• Minimum of 10 years post-profesional qualification and audit experience.
• Minimum 3 years healthcare audit experience is an added advantage.
