The Senior Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Officer supports the implementation anc continuous improvement of the Hospital's enterprise Risk Management Framework by identifying, accesing, monitoring and reporting strategic operational, financial, clinical regulatory information technology
cybersecurity, and reputational risks.
The role collaborates with all departments to foster a proactive risk management culture, strengthen internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance organizational resilience in line with international healthcare standards and Nigerian regulatory requirements.
Job Functions
Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Hospital's Enterprise tisk Manacement (_KM) Framework including enterprise-wide risk assessments and maintenance of the risk register.
Identify, assess, monitor and report strategic, operatonal, diorical, inandat, regulatory, information technology, cybersecurity, and reputational risks, while récommending and tracking appropriate mitigation measures.
Prepare enterprise risk reports, dashboards, and key risk indicators (KRIS) for Management and the Board, and escalate significant or emerging risks requiring timely action.
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and governance processes identify control weaknesses, and recommend improvements to strengthen organizational accountability and resilience.
Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, internal policies, labour laws, data protection requirements, and other applicable regulatory obligations.
Collaborate with clinical and corporate departments to identity and manage operational and clinical risks, support incident investigations, and develop preventive and corrective action plans.
Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management programmes by participating in planning, testing, emergency preparedness, and organizational response activities.
Promote a strong risk management culture by conducting risk awareness programmes, guiding departmental risk champions, and supporting the
development and review of ERM policies and procedures aligned with international best practices.
Engage with Internal Audit, Compliance, Quality Assurance, regulators, and other stakeholders on risk-related matters while supporting strategic planning, special risk investigations, and other assignments from Management.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Nursing, Public Health, Healthcare Management, Law or a related discipline.
A Master's Degree in Risk Management, MBA, Public Health, Healthcare Management, Finance, or a related field is an added advantage.
Kelevant professional certification such as PMP, quality/patient safety certification is preferred
Minimum of 15 years post-graduation experience.
8 - 10 years, relevant experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, Compliance, Internal Control, Clinical Governance, Healthcare Quality, or a related field
Experience within a reputable hospital or healthcare organization is highly desirable.
Proven experience in enterprise risk assessment, governance, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and nsk reporting.
Sound knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management frameworks (COSO ERM, ISO 31000) corporate goverance, intemal controls, healthcare regulations, business continuity, and information security risks.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, report writing stakeholder management, and project management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Goverance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems.
High level of integrity, professionalism, sound judgment, confidentiality, teamwork, adaptability, and a proactive commitmentto continuous improvement.
