Job Title: Installation / Construction Manager

Job Description
The Installation / Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and managing all construction and installation activities to ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved engineering specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.
The role provides leadership to construction personnel and coordinates multidisciplinary teams throughout project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and oversee all site construction and installation activities.
Develop construction methodologies and execution plans.
Coordinate field construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
Ensure work complies with engineering drawings, specifications, and approved procedures.
Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of milestones.
Implement and enforce HSE policies and safe work practices.
Coordinate daily construction meetings and toolbox talks.
Ensure quality control and compliance with applicable standards and codes.
Review and approve construction work packs and method statements.
Liaise with engineering, procurement, logistics, QA/QC, HSE, and client representatives.
Monitor manpower, equipment, and material utilization.
Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly construction progress reports.
Manage subcontractor performance and productivity.
Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and project handover activities.
Ensure proper documentation of construction records and as-built information.

Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng./B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in:
Civil Engineering
Construction Engineering
Marine Engineering
Structural Engineering
Building Technology
COREN registration is an added advantage.
Membership of relevant professional bodies (NSE, COREN, PMI, NIM, etc.) is desirable.
Experience:
Minimum of 15 years relevant construction or installation experience.
At least 5 years in a supervisory or management position.
Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary construction teams.
Demonstrated ability to deliver projects within schedule and budget.
Experience working with international clients or major Nigerian operators is an added advantage.
Other Requirements:
Physically fit and medically certified for site work.
Willingness to work at project sites and remote locations.
Ability to work extended hours when required.
Valid Nigerian driver's licence is an advantage.
Good knowledge of Nigerian construction regulations and HSE requirements.
Strong understanding of permit-to-work systems and safe systems of work.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and construction specifications.
Good report writing and documentation skills.
Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
Salary
N500,000 - N700,000 per month.
