Job Summary

• The Supermarket Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the supermarket, ensuring excellent customer service, maximizing sales and profitability, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and leading the store team to achieve operational excellence.
• The role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and the ability to create a positive shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities
Store Operations Management:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the supermarket.
• Ensure the store is clean, organized, and adequately stocked at all times.
• Monitor product availability and ensure shelves are properly merchandised.
• Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Sales & Profitability:

• Drive sales growth and achieve monthly revenue targets.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to improve profitability.
• Analyze sales reports and identify opportunities for business growth.
• Manage product pricing, promotions, and inventory turnover.

Inventory & Stock Control:

• Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment.
• Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits.
• Minimize stock losses, damages, and shrinkage.
• Ensure proper receiving, storage, and handling of goods.

Customer Service Management

• Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Create initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements where necessary.

Team Leadership & People Management:

• Supervise, coach, and motivate supermarket staff.
• Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate workforce coverage.
• Monitor employee performance and provide regular feedback.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff.
• Promote teamwork, discipline, and a high-performance culture.

Financial Management:

• Monitor daily cash collections and reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of sales and expenses.
• Control operational costs and prevent wastage.
• Prepare and submit periodic operational reports to management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• Must have 3–5 years' experience managing a supermarket, retail store, or similar operation.
• Proven track record in sales, inventory management, and team leadership.
• Experience with retail management systems and inventory software is an advantage.

N250,000 / Month.
