Job Title: Chief Technical Officer

Description

• As Chief Technical Officer, you will provide strategic leadership for all technical and engineering functions across Ikeja Electric.
• You will drive operational excellence, network reliability, asset optimization, and technical transformation while ensuring safe, efficient, and financially sustainable electricity distribution in line with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.

You'll contribute to:

• Develop and execute the company's long-term technical strategy.
• Align technical initiatives with corporate and business objectives.
• Lead network modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the distribution network.
• Improve network availability, reliability, and outage restoration performance.
• Optimize asset lifecycle management and capital investments.
• Drive predictive maintenance and enterprise asset management initiatives.
• Lead network planning, expansion, and distribution automation programs.
• Develop maintenance strategies to improve power distribution reliability.
• Ensure compliance with NERC regulations, safety standards, and technical operating procedures.
• Oversee project delivery, testing, commissioning, and technical system performance.
• Lead, develop, and mentor technical teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Promote Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) compliance.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Chief Operating Officer or designate.

Minimum Requirements

• This opportunity is an Executive Management role.
• Your role will directly drive technical strategy, network performance, operational excellence, and engineering transformation across Ikeja Electric.
• This role directly reports to the Chief Operating Officer. Successful applicants will typically possess the following criteria:

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Master's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Power Systems, or a related field is preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer (e.g., COREN, NSE) with membership of relevant engineering institutions.
• Executive leadership training is an added advantage.

Work Experience:

• A minimum of 15–20 years of progressive experience in the electric power sector, with at least 10 years in senior technical leadership.
• Demonstrated experience in power distribution operations, network planning, engineering, maintenance, project delivery, and leading large technical teams managing major infrastructure portfolios.

Skills & Competencies:
