Multipro Consumer Products Limited is the largest company in Nigeria dealing in Sales, Haulage and Logistics. MCPL was founded in 1996 as a fully owned company of the Tolaram Group. The first product sold by MCPL in 1996 was Indomie and since then it has played a seminal role in making Indomie a household brand in Nigeria. MCPL over the years has grown adding 13 brands in various categories comprising of Noodle, Snacks, Milk, Cereal, Oil, Homecare and Personal Hygiene.

Job Summary

• The Sustainability Associate will be responsible for implementing and managing sustainability initiatives that minimize the plant’s environmental impact and support corporate sustainability goals.
• This role will involve overseeing waste reduction, energy efficiency, water conservation, and pollution prevention efforts, as well as ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
• The ideal candidate is passionate about environmental stewardship and skilled at driving change within an industrial setting.

Job Objectives

• Assist in collecting, analysing, and organizing data related to ESG metrics, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Help prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with ESG-related regulations and requirements.
• Support the organization in maintaining compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and reporting frameworks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and engage with stakeholders regarding ESG initiatives.
• Support the development of communication materials and strategies to promote ESG goals and progress.
• Assist in managing ESG data systems, including data collection, verification, and documentation.
• Establish and maintain data tracking processes to ensure consistent and reliable reporting. • Contribute to the planning and execution of sustainability projects and initiatives.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for improvement in ESG performance and participate in developing strategies to achieve sustainability targets.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as sustainability, environmental studies, business, or related disciplines (first-class).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets.
• Proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
• Flexible to travel within our various Locations.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present information to diverse audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with stakeholders at various levels.
• Strong research capabilities to stay informed about ESG trends, regulations, and emerging sustainability issues.
• Familiarity with relevant ESG regulations, guidelines, and reporting frameworks is desirable.
• Passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility.
