Job Title: Sales Officer

Location: Ndola Cement, Zambia

Description

• Deliver regional Sales Targets through Leads Pipeline Management, Customer Engagement, Retail Trade Development, Trade Branding in line business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strong retail sales lead pipeline to ensure Distributors make orders to DCZ on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Consistent and effective customer engagement to strengthen DCZ relationship with Distributors and retailers, handle queries and complaints.
• Own the implementation of Trade marketing efforts including distribution of required materials, retail branding, merchandising and provide insights on competitor activity at retail level.
• Monitor and document competitor activities and insights on pricing, promotions, distributions and products to be shared with the Regional Sales Manager, Head of Department and Marketing Manager
• Track customer sales and provide analysis for the purposes of forecasting, trend mapping, presentations, accruals, rebates and internal reporting.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Regional Sales Manager including administration tasks associated with the role and department, in line with DCZ policies and values.

Key Requirements
Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or its equivalent in business or a related discipline.
• Full Grade 12 School Certificate
• Minimum of five (5) years experience similar role in FMCG, Manufacturing or Commodities Industry.
• Valid & Clean Drivers License

Skills and Behaviours:

• Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
• Good knowledge of DCZ’s product and service offerings.
• Strong administration skills – organised, thorough, and able to effectively leverage technology with attention to detail.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
• Good live problem solving skills.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office Word and Excel
