Job Title: General Manager, Operations

Location: Mowe, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The General Manager Operations is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational management of the oil manufacturing factory.
• The role ensures efficient production, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and continuous improvement while maintaining high standards of safety, environmental sustainability, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilties
Operations Management:

• Oversee all factory operations including production, maintenance, logistics, and warehousing.
• Ensure production targets are achieved efficiently.
• Optimize processes to reduce waste and improve productivity.

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop business strategies and annual operational plans.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Financial Management:

• Manage budgets and monitor costs.
• Prepare operational and financial reports.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Lead corrective and preventive actions.

Health, Safety & Environment:

• Ensure compliance with Nigerian HSE regulations.
• Promote a strong safety culture.

Human Resource Management:

• Lead and develop employees.
• Conduct performance evaluations.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Maintain required licenses and ensure legal compliance.

Supply Chain & Inventory:

• Oversee procurement, inventory, and logistics.

Customer & Stakeholder Management:

• Maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related fields
• Masters’ Degree is a must.
• Relevant professional certifications are preferred.

Experience:

• 8 - 10 years in manufacturing.
• Minimum 8 years in senior management role.
• Must have experience in a reputable well known edible manufacturing organization vegetable or palm oil manufacturing preferred or oil & gas fmcg company.
