Job Title: Civil Site (Project) Engineer

Locations: Lagos, and Gusau - Zamfara

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Civil Site (Project) Engineer to oversee and execute industrial construction projects, specifically focusing on warehouses and factory facilities.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day site supervision, structural implementation, quality assurance, sub-contractor management, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to safety and building codes.

Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Execution:

• Direct, monitor, and supervise daily construction activities on-site to ensure work aligns with design drawings, engineering specifications, and quality standards.
• Manage site preparation, earthworks, grading, foundation laying, and structural setup for large-scale warehouses and factory facilities.
• Oversee specialized industrial civil works, including heavy reinforced concrete foundations, industrial floor slabs (post-tensioned/fiber-reinforced), steel structure erections, cladding, and roofing systems.

Project Management & Progress Tracking:

• Assist the Project Manager in developing baseline work schedules, setting milestone targets, and monitoring project progress.
• Plan and allocate daily labor, equipment, and material resources to maintain construction timelines and minimize downtime.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports, highlighting delays, risks, and mitigation plans.

Quality Control & Safety (QA/QC & HSE):

• Inspect incoming construction materials (reinforcement bars, concrete mix, structural steel, aggregates) to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality certifications.
• Conduct slump tests, concrete cube testing, soil compaction tests, and structural alignment checks.
• Strictly enforce site Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies to maintain a zero-incident workplace.

Technical Coordination & Problem Solving:

• Interpret structural, architectural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings; resolve design conflicts or technical site issues promptly.
• Coordinate with MEP engineers and equipment vendors to accommodate factory machine foundations, drainage channels, cable trenches, and utility hookups.
• Perform surveying, setting out, and leveling checks for foundation anchors, steel columns, and structural grid lines.

Subcontractor & Stakeholder Management:

• Supervise subcontractors and site labor, verifying work quality, quantities, and compliance with contractual specifications before payout approvals.
• Measure completed work quantities and assist in preparing valuation certificates for contractors and client invoicing.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact on-site for clients, consultants, and municipal inspectors.

Salary
N350,000 - N450,000 Monthly.
