Coverage of:

• Elections
• Governance and public policy.Sports Pod

Sports Pod:
Coverage of:

• Football (local and international)
• Athletics
• Basketball
• Boxing
• Nigerian athletes abroad.
• Sports coverage is a major traffic pillar for IDNN.

Business Pod:
Coverage of:

• Oil & gas
• Finance
• Technology
• Markets
• Real estate
• Agriculture.

Nigeria / Metro Pod:
Coverage of:

• Governance
• Crime and investigations
• Public interest stories
• Regional developments.

World News Pod:
Coverage of:

• International politics
• Global conflicts
• International organizations
• Developments affecting Africa.

What We Are Looking For
Ideal candidates should:

• Have strong news judgment
• Possess excellent writing and editing skills
• Understand digital publishing
• Have passion for journalism.
• Experience in sports, politics, or business reporting is an advantage.

The Blackfire Workflow:

• Editors at IDNN operate through the Blackfire editorial system, which includes:
  • Structured story verification
  • Fast digital publishing
  • Integrated social media distribution.
• Editors must be comfortable working in a technology-assisted newsroom.

Work Structure:
The newsroom operates as a distributed digital team
Editors may work:

• Remotely
• On flexible shifts
• Within assigned editorial pods.
