Job Title: Head, Corporate Services
Location: Lagos
Job Purpose
The Head, Corporate Services is responsible for the strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of all corporate support functions across Group, including administration, facilities management, protocol and logistics, procurement, vendor management, and general office services.
The role ensures that all subsidiaries and the Group Head Office are supported by efficient, cost-effective, and well-governed corporate services, enabling the smooth running of business operations and a professional working environment for staff and visitors alike.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Services Strategy: Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for administration, facilities, procurement, and logistics across the Group, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all subsidiaries.
Facilities & Office Management: Oversee the maintenance, safety, and functionality of all Group office premises and facilities, ensuring a professional, secure, and well-equipped working environment.
Procurement & Vendor Management: Lead procurement of goods and services for the Group, ensuring competitive pricing, quality standards, and timely delivery; manage vendor relationships and contracts, and ensure adherence to procurement policy.
Protocol & Logistics Oversight: Supervise the Group's protocol, travel, and logistics functions, including executive travel, fleet/driver management, and hospitality for official visitors and events.
Budget Management: Prepare and manage the Corporate Services budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services and monitoring expenditure against approved limits.
Health, Safety & Security: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards across all Group premises, coordinating with security personnel and relevant regulatory bodies as required.
Contract & Lease Administration: Oversee lease agreements, service contracts, insurance, and other administrative/legal documentation relating to Group properties and assets.
Event & Board Meeting Support: Coordinate logistics for Group management meetings, board meetings, retreats, and corporate events across subsidiaries.
Team Leadership: Lead, supervise, and develop the Corporate Services team, including admin officers, protocol/logistics staff, drivers, and facilities personnel, ensuring high performance and accountability.
Cross-Subsidiary Coordination: Serve as the central point of contact for corporate services needs across all Sewa Group subsidiaries, ensuring standards are applied consistently Group-wide.
Reporting: Provide regular reports to the Group Head Office/Executive Management on corporate services performance, costs, risks, and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Estate Management, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., IFMA, CIPS, PMP) is an advantage.
8–10 years' experience in administration, facilities, procurement, or corporate services, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Prior experience managing corporate services across multiple business units, subsidiaries, or locations is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing budgets, vendor contracts, and cross-functional teams.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to manage a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple work-streams across locations simultaneously.
Strong negotiation and vendor/contract management skills.
Sound budgeting and cost-control skills.
High level of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment, particularly in handling executive logistics and confidential matters.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior management, board members, and external partners.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with facilities/procurement management systems.
Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure or during emergencies.
Key Relationships:
Internal: Group Head Office, Executive Management Team, HR, Finance, Department/Unit Heads across all Sewa Group subsidiaries, Protocol/Logistics Officer, and Corporate Services team.
External: Landlords/property managers, vendors and suppliers, facility maintenance contractors, insurance providers, regulatory and security agencies.
Work Conditions:
Standard office hours, with flexibility required to respond to facility emergencies, executive logistics needs, or events outside standard hours.
Role requires regular travel between Group offices and subsidiary locations.
