Centre for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP) is a leading indigenous non-governmental organization that promotes better healthcare for all Nigerians through the creation of strong and sustainable health systems. We are recruiting for the positions of:
1.) Senior Behavior Change & Communications Associate x2
Location: Abuja
- Incumbent will coordinate and provide technical assistance for all SBC support activities as part of the program
- Provide technical assistance in the design, implementation and evaluation of SBC/Community Mobilization activities
- Coordinates the adaptation/development of IEC/media materials for the program and also work closely with the various sub-grantees to design and deliver communications interventions for behavior change to target groups.
- Provide technical support to build the capacity of local sub-grantees; work with CBOs and other staff to facilitate the transfer of skills to people living with HIV/AIDS and their families for prevention, support and care
- Assist in the application of program evaluation results, Newsletters, maintain communication websites, and prepare reports.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability
- A degree in public health, behavioral sciences, health communications, health promotion and education, or related field (or its equivalent)
- At least 3 years post NYSC working experience in supporting SBCC/IEC programs and health promotion and health education
- Experience in behavioral based strategic information (SI). Ability to apply research to health initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to develop creative programs, networks, linkages with clients and collaborating organizations
- Familiarity with USAID programs highly desired
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and make reasoned judgements in a timely fashion
2.) Network Community Linkages Associate x4
Location: Benue, Kaduna, and Kogi
- Incumbent coordinates formal agreements and sub contract with state owned health care facilities and community/faith based partners to implement program activities
- Ensure strong community linkages to enhance HIV care and treatment services
- Work in close collaboration with Faith -based and community based organizations to provide comprehensive package of care for HIV care and treatment program beneficiaries including clinical and psychosocial services
- Submission of activity reports relating to community program activities. Ensures that items purchased for use by sub contract recipients are delivered to beneficiaries in a timely manner and used for program
- Mentor facility staff to ensure that the quality of services is in line with best practices and standards of care
- Act as program liaison with sub recipient partners and ensure sub grantees meet programmatic, administrative, financial and reporting obligations of the grant agreement.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability
- Degree in Sociology, Psychology or health related discipline (Master's degree preferred)
- At least 2 years experience in the implementation and management of health /HIV programs
- Experience working at community level implementing health/HIV programs
- Experience with staff supervision and mentoring

- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Significant amount of travel may be involved for all positions.
