Job Title: Remote Account Auditor (Money Transfer & Fintech)

The Role

• We are looking for a seasoned Accountant to take full ownership of our monthly account reviews. This is not a data-entry role—we need someone with a strong, proven background in accounting who can critically examine our entire transaction ledger, identify irregularities, and give us a clear, accurate picture of our financial position every single month. You will be the one we trust to review all accounts thoroughly and report back with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive monthly reviews of all company accounts and transaction records.
• Reconcile internal ledgers with bank statements and third-party payment processor reports.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, unusual patterns, or settlement delays.
• Ensure strict compliance with AML regulations and internal financial policies.
• Prepare detailed monthly financial audit reports for management.
• Recommend improvements to our accounting processes and controls.

What We Are Looking For

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification with 4 - 7 years work experience.
• Strong Accounting Background: You must have a solid foundation in accounting principles, backed by formal qualifications (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) and years of hands-on experience.
• Proven Experience: You have worked as an Accountant, Senior Accountant, or Auditor—ideally within fintech, banking, or money services businesses (MSBs).
• Meticulous & Analytical: You have a sharp eye for detail and can spot errors or red flags that others might miss.
• Tech-Savvy: Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) are essential.
• Self-Motivated: As this is a remote role, you must be disciplined and able to manage your workload independently.
