Job Title: Lead Motion Designer
Location: Abuja (FCT)

Key Responsibilities
Motion Graphics & Animation:
Design and produce high-quality 2D and 3D animated videos, incorporating live footage where relevant — tailored for digital and social media audiences.
Create storyboards, animation concepts, and full motion graphics sequences for explainer videos, game showcases, brand campaigns, and promotional content.
Align all creative output with existing Whot Studios brand assets and visual identity; propose new creative concepts where a fresh direction is needed.
Deliver 2 to 3 finished videos per week, combining animated and live footage formats, in varying durations from 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
Video Editing & Post-Production:
Edit raw footage and B-roll into polished, platform-ready short-form videos with appropriate voiceovers, background music, sound effects, text overlays, transitions, and brand elements.
Optimise all video output for the specific requirements of each platform including Instagram Reels, IG Stories, YouTube, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and TikTok, adapting pacing, format, and tone accordingly.
Ensure fast-turnaround revision cycles: high-priority revisions completed within 24 to 48 hours of receiving feedback.
Produce 1 to 2 static design assets per week alongside the video output, as required by the marketing calendar.
User-Generated Content (UGC) Strategy:
Design and lead UGC programmes that turn Whot Africa players into active brand advocates including winner showcases, player testimonials, gameplay highlight campaigns, community challenges, and tournament content.
Develop the creative frameworks, templates, and visual prompts that make it easy for players to create and share branded content reducing the brand's dependency on produced content alone.
Curate, repurpose, and amplify the best UGC across Whot Studios' channels giving players visibility and driving organic community growth in the process.
Monitor UGC volume, quality, and engagement as a key indicator of community health and brand loyalty.
Team Direction & Content Quality:
Provide strategic creative direction and day-to-day guidance to the Social Media Manager and Content Creator setting the standard for what gets published and ensuring every piece of output serves a clear purpose.
Lead the development and approval of the monthly and quarterly content calendar, ensuring alignment with game launches, commercial milestones, seasonal moments, and platform best practices.
Coach and develop direct reports providing specific, constructive feedback on performance, building their skills, and holding them accountable to output quality and deadlines.
Actively contribute to cross-functional creative and strategic discussions bringing a marketing and growth perspective to product decisions, player experience conversations, and business development opportunities.
Creative Strategy & Innovation:
Propose at least 2 new creative approaches, visual styles, or content formats per quarter to keep the brand's output fresh, competitive, and engaging.
Monitor trends in gaming content, motion graphics, and social media to identify opportunities for the brand to stand out.
Implement at least 1 significant design or content change per quarter based on player or user feedback, ensuring the creative output reflects the audience's preferences.
Share at least 1 design prototype, experiment, or creative concept with the team each month as part of a culture of continuous creative exploration.
Campaign Support & Ad Hoc Production:
Lead creative production for special campaigns, game launches, events, and ad hoc video needs outside the standard weekly output schedule.
Produce platform-specific ad creatives adjusting tone, format, and pacing to match campaign objectives, whether for brand awareness, user acquisition, or community engagement.
Coordinate with the CEO and relevant stakeholders on campaign briefs, timelines, and delivery expectations
