Job Title: Public Relations (PR) & Media Relations Associate

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

The Role

• We're looking for a PR & Media Relations Associate to lead media relations for our clients, securing high-impact coverage across local and international media.
• This role is ideal for someone with strong journalist relationships, excellent writing skills, and proven experience delivering PR campaigns that build reputation and visibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute PR and media relations strategies for clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, producers, and media houses.
• Secure interviews, features, speaking opportunities, podcasts, and other high-value media placements.
• Write and edit press releases, media pitches, speeches, opinion articles, executive profiles, and other communications materials.
• Develop thought leadership content and executive visibility strategies for clients.
• Advise clients on media engagement, reputation management, and crisis communications.
• Monitor media coverage, industry trends, and campaign performance.
• Support the external visibility of Eliza Beth & Co.'s leadership through speaking engagements, publications, and media opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated communications campaigns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in PR, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in PR, Media Relations, Corporate Communications, or a communications agency.
• Proven success securing national media coverage; international media experience is an advantage.
• Strong network of journalists and media contacts.
• Excellent writing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Agency experience is highly preferred.
• NIPR, CIPR, PRCA, or similar professional certification is a plus.
