Job Title: Data Analyst

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Days & Time: 4PM – 7AM (Monday – Saturday)

Job Purpose

• Our client is requires the services of Data Analyst for immediate employment. Proximity to IKEJA GRA will be an advantage. Candidates living at Ikeja, Mafoluku, Oshodi and its environs will be considered.
• The Operations Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, monitoring, and reporting operational data to support efficient decision-making within Sharp Courier Limited.
• The role ensures the accuracy of operational records, monitors parcel movement, analyzes warehouse performance, tracks delivery timelines, and provides actionable insights that improve operational efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• The Operations Data Analyst works closely with the Operations, Quality Control, Customer Service, Finance, and Management teams to ensure data integrity and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Data Collection & Management:

• Collect, compile, and maintain operational data from all warehouses, hubs, and branches.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of operational records.
• Maintain an up-to-date operations database.
• Ensure timely entry of operational data into the Company's systems.
• Monitor data quality and resolve discrepancies.

Operational Reporting:

• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including:
• Parcel inflow and outflow reports.
• Sorting performance reports.
• Dispatch reports.
• Delivery performance reports.
• Warehouse productivity reports.
• Backlog reports.
• Staff productivity reports.
• Transport performance reports.
• Returns reports.
• Customer complaint trend reports.
• KPI performance reports.
• Management dashboards.

Performance Analysis:

• Analyze operational data to identify trends and performance gaps.
• Monitor warehouse productivity and efficiency.
• Evaluate sorting accuracy and dispatch timelines.
• Track delivery performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Measure operational KPIs and recommend improvements.
• Provide insights to support operational planning and decision-making.

Parcel Tracking & Monitoring:

• Monitor parcel movement from pickup to final delivery.
• Investigate delayed, missing, or unscanned parcels.
• Ensure accurate tracking updates in the system.
• Escalate operational issues affecting parcel movement.
• Support investigations relating to lost or delayed shipments.

TEMU & Client Performance Monitoring:

• Monitor compliance with TEMU and other key client delivery timelines.
• Prepare daily and weekly performance reports for Management.
• Identify operational bottlenecks affecting service delivery.
• Recommend corrective actions to improve client performance.
• Track service-level performance against agreed targets.

Data Accuracy & Reconciliation:

• Reconcile operational data with physical warehouse activities.
• Verify parcel counts against manifests and system records.
• Reconcile inbound and outbound shipment records.
• Investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure consistency across operational reports and databases.

Dashboard & KPI Management

• Develop and maintain operational dashboards.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
• Generate performance scorecards for departments and operational teams.
• Provide Management with real-time operational insights.
• Support performance review meetings with data analysis.

Process Improvement:

• Identify trends affecting operational efficiency.
• Recommend improvements to warehouse and logistics processes.
• Analyze recurring operational issues and root causes.
• Support automation and digital transformation initiatives.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with:
• Operations Team
• Warehouse Management
• Customer Service
• Quality Control
• Finance Department
• Human Resources
• Transport Unit
• Information Technology Team to ensure operational data supports effective decision-making.

Compliance:

• Ensure confidentiality and security of Company data.
• Maintain accurate documentation of reports and analyses.
• Ensure compliance with Company policies and data management procedures.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required operational data.

Salary
N200,000 monthly.
