Apex Restaurant is a fast food restaurant located in Wuse 2, Abuja.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Restaurant Waiter / Server

Location: Apex – Wuse, Abuja (FCT)

Reports To: Supervisor/ GM

Job Summary

• The Restaurant Waiter / Server is responsible for providing excellent customer service to ensure a memorable dining experience for guests.
• This role involves greeting and seating customers, taking food and drink orders, serving dishes and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
• The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage options.
• Answer questions regarding menu items, specials, and dietary restrictions.
• Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure timely and correct delivery of orders to the guests.
• Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns promptly and effectively.

Service Duties:

• Prepare tables for dining, including setting up utensils, napkins, and glassware.
• Monitor and attend to guests’ needs throughout their dining experience.
• Clear and clean tables after guests have finished dining.
• Refill drinks and check on guests to ensure satisfaction with their meals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the dining room and service stations.

Operational Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared and delivered correctly.
• Handle cash and process transactions accurately.
• Follow all restaurant policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
• Assist with restocking and organizing supplies as needed.

Teamwork:

• Work effectively as part of a team to provide excellent service.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist other staff members during busy periods and provide support as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality service.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items, such as trays and boxes.
• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.

Additional Information:

• Uniforms are required and will be provided by the restaurant.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
