Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant with a strong focus on inventory management to support accurate stock control and financial record-keeping across our operations.
• The Junior Accountant will be responsible for tracking inventory movements, reconciling stock records with financial data, supporting audits, and ensuring proper documentation of inventory-related transactions.
• The ideal candidate has a solid accounting foundation, strong analytical skills, and a high level of integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records across all business units.
• Track inventory inflow and outflow, including purchases, transfers, sales, and returns.
• Reconcile physical stock counts with system records and investigate variances.
• Support periodic stock counts, spot checks, and year-end inventory audits.
• Record inventory-related transactions in accounting systems and spreadsheets.
• Monitor stock valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and expiry-related losses.
• Ensure proper documentation for inventory movements and approvals.
• Assist in preparing inventory and financial reports for management review.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to inventory accounts.
• Flag slow-moving, expired, or obsolete stock and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Requirements

• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years experience in accounting or inventory-related roles would be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar is an advantage).
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
