We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Inventory Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Officer to manage the company's inventory, ensure accurate stock records, and support efficient warehouse operations.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, tracking, and issuing inventory while maintaining optimal stock levels and minimizing losses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record all incoming inventory and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using manual and/or digital inventory systems.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify management when inventory reaches reorder levels.
  • Conduct routine stock counts and periodic physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
  • Issue materials and products according to approved requests.
  • Prepare inventory reports, stock movement reports, and monthly inventory summaries.
  • Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory control procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store or warehouse environment.
  • Assist in implementing inventory improvement initiatives and cost-saving measures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software is an added advantage.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and warehouse best practices.
  • Ability to prepare reports and analyze stock trends.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
