Job Title: Cleaner

Location: Mobushipe, Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

• The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across the organization's premises.
• The role involves cleaning offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, common areas, and other designated spaces to ensure a professional and healthy workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors daily.
• Dust and wipe furniture, desks, windows, and other surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring adequate supplies of soap, tissue, and hand towels.
• Empty waste bins and dispose of trash in designated areas.
• Clean office kitchens, dining areas, and appliances.
• Replenish cleaning materials and report low stock levels.
• Ensure meeting rooms are clean and arranged before and after meetings.
• Clean doors, glass partitions, windows, and stairways.
• Report maintenance issues such as leaking taps, faulty lights, or damaged furniture.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and according to instructions.
• Assist with special cleaning assignments as directed by the supervisor.
• Lock doors and switch off lights in designated areas where required.

• Consistent cleanliness of all assigned areas.
• Timely completion of daily cleaning schedules.
• Proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment.
• Minimal complaints regarding cleanliness.
• Compliance with health and safety standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cleaner is an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and the safe use of cleaning chemicals.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
• Integrity, honesty, and reliability.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when working in office environments.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Willingness to perform additional housekeeping duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

• Indoor office environment with occasional outdoor cleaning duties.
• May require early morning, evening, or weekend work depending on organizational needs.
• Prolonged standing, bending, lifting, and walking.

Salary
As determined by the organization's salary structure and experience.
