The Agatha Valentine Hope Foundation (AVHF) is a non-profit organisation established to promote equitable access to quality reproductive healthcare, education, and empowerment for women and the less privileged in underserved communities in Nigeria. The foundation was created in honour of Late Mrs. Agatha Valentine–‘Mira’–whose untimely passing following complications from fibroid surgery underscored the urgent need to improve awareness, access to care, and surgical safety for women facing similar reproductive health challenges.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Programmes Lead

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The programmes Lead will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of all Agatha Valentine Hope Foundation’s programmes and initiatives.
  • The role will ensure effective end-to-end programme delivery across the foundation’s core pillars, including women’s reproductive health awareness, community outreach, and support initiatives.
  • The role requires a highly organised and proactive professional who can translate programme ideas into structured implementation plans, coordinate teams and stakeholders, track deliverables, identify challenges, and ensure that programmes are delivered effectively and in alignment with AVHF's mission and strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Applicants must currently reside in Abuja, Nigeria and be legally eligible to work in Nigeria.
  • At least 3 years of experience in programme coordination, nonprofit management, or community development.
  • Experience working on health, reproductive health, women’s health, or community development programmes is an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders including healthcare professionals and community leaders.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in grant writing or fundraising support.
  • Experience in programme design, implementation and reporting.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation is strongly preferred.
  • Experience coordinating stakeholders, staff or volunteers.
  • Experience working with remote or distributed teams is an advantage.
