We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cashier

Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Cashier is responsible for processing customer payments accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
• The role involves handling cash, card, and electronic payments, issuing receipts, balancing daily transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that all financial transactions comply with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process payments through cash, POS terminals, bank transfers, and other approved payment methods.
• Issue receipts, invoices, and payment confirmations to customers.
• Accurately record all sales transactions in the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Prepare and submit daily sales and cash reconciliation reports.
• Ensure all transactions are accurately accounted for with minimal errors.
• Respond professionally to customer inquiries regarding bills, payments, and pricing.
• Coordinate with service staff to resolve billing discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and customer payment details.
• Report cash shortages, overages, or suspicious transactions immediately to management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional cashier station.
• Assist with administrative duties as assigned.
• Comply with company financial procedures, internal controls, and audit requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of OND, SSCE, or equivalent qualification.
• A certificate in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is an added advantage.
• At least 1–2 years of experience as a cashier in a restaurant, hotel, retail outlet, or similar establishment.
• Experience using POS systems and electronic payment terminals is preferred.

Salary
N80,000 - N100,000 / month.
