Role Description

• The Relationship Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos, responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of corporate and institutional clients.
• Day-to-day tasks include developing and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding client needs, and recommending suitable banking, investment, and wealth management solutions.
• The role involves preparing and delivering proposals, coordinating credit and transaction processes, and ensuring timely execution of client mandates.
• The Relationship Manager will monitor account performance, identify cross-selling opportunities, and collaborate with product, risk, and operations teams to provide seamless client service.
• The position also requires regular market research, participation in client meetings and events, and adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, ACCA, ICAN) are an advantage.
• Relevant experience in relationship management, corporate banking, or financial services, preferably within a merchant or investment banking environment.
• Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust, understand business needs, and provide tailored financial solutions.
• Solid knowledge of corporate banking, investment banking, and global markets products, and the ability to explain these offerings clearly to clients.
• Analytical and financial modeling skills, including the ability to interpret financial statements, assess credit risk, and prepare high-quality proposals.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail and professional writing ability.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and risk management practices in the Nigerian financial sector.
