Job Summary
Our client is seeking to employ competent QA / QC Inspectors to support quality assurance and quality control activities across its operational facilities.
The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring that all materials, equipment, maintenance activities, facilities, and operational processes comply with company quality standards, client specifications, industry regulations, and international codes.
Candidates should possess hands-on experience in quality inspection, maintenance verification, vendor quality audits, documentation control, compliance monitoring, and facility quality management within the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct quality inspections on materials, equipment, installations, and operational activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and company standards.
Perform quality surveillance during maintenance, repair, fabrication, construction, and installation activities.
Verify maintenance activities to ensure work is executed in accordance with approved procedures, engineering specifications, and OEM recommendations.
Carry out incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and completed work.
Monitor contractor and vendor compliance with quality requirements and contractual obligations.
Conduct vendor quality audits and supplier performance assessments.
Review inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality procedures, method statements, and technical documentation.
Ensure all inspection records, certificates, reports, and quality documentation are complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
Monitor compliance with ISO standards, API, ASME, ASTM, and other applicable industry regulations.
Identify non-conformities, raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Participate in quality investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform facility management oversight to ensure assets, warehouses, workshops, and operational facilities meet quality and maintenance standards.
Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, operations, procurement, and HSE teams to resolve quality-related issues.
Support internal and external quality audits and regulatory inspections.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports for management review.
Promote compliance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies throughout all inspection activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
3–5 years of experience in QA / QC, inspection, maintenance, construction, fabrication, or facility management within the oil and gas industry.
Practical knowledge of quality management systems and inspection methodologies.
Experience conducting maintenance verification and quality inspections for oil and gas facilities.
Strong understanding of API, ASME, ASTM, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and other relevant international standards.
Experience performing vendor quality audits and supplier evaluations.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, isometric drawings, welding documentation, and technical specifications.
Good knowledge of documentation control, inspection reporting, and compliance monitoring.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with SAP or other ERP systems is an added advantage.
Strong analytical, communication, report writing, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary project teams.
Demonstrated commitment to quality, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Certifications:
ISO 9001:2015 Internal or Lead Auditor Certification.
API Inspector Certification (API 510, API 570, API 653, or equivalent).
ASNT Level II (NDT Certification).
CSWIP Welding Inspector Certification.
NEBOSH or IOSH Certification.
HSE Level 1, 2, or 3.
IRCA Certified Internal Auditor (Advantage).
