Job Title: Project Architect

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

• We are seeking an experienced and highly creative Project Architect to join our growing architectural and design team in Lagos.
• This role is ideal for an architect who enjoys transforming bold design concepts into detailed, buildable and visually outstanding projects. You will take ownership of technical documentation, consultant coordination, regulatory approvals and on-site project delivery while ensuring that every completed project reflects the original design vision.
• Working closely with the Principal Architect and Studio Head, you will also serve as a key point of contact for clients, consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

What You Will Do:
Design Development and Technical Documentation:

• Translate architectural concepts into accurate construction drawings and execution packages.
• Prepare working drawings for construction and statutory approvals.
• Produce detailed construction sheets, door and window schedules, structural interfaces and technical specifications.
• Develop clear material specifications and select suitable finishes for high-end projects.
• Support effective project planning, cost control and profitable project delivery.
• Work with the Principal Architect and Studio Head to manage workloads, timelines and project priorities.

Consultant and Contractor Coordination:

• Lead coordination meetings with Structural Engineers, MEP Consultants, Quantity Surveyors and specialist contractors.
• Review architectural, structural and services drawings to identify and resolve clashes before construction begins.
• Integrate HVAC, fire safety, lighting, automation and other building services into architectural layouts.
• Ensure that all consultants and contractors work in line with the approved design direction.

Regulatory Approvals and Compliance:

• Review designs and variations to ensure compliance with the National Building Code and relevant planning regulations.
• Prepare complete architectural documentation for statutory approval and development permits.
• Liaise with government agencies and regulatory officials to secure required planning, zoning and structural approvals.

Site Supervision and Project Delivery:

• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, workmanship and compliance with approved drawings.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges that arise during construction.
• Review and approve shop drawings, mock-ups and material samples.
• Respond to Contractor Requests for Information and maintain proper technical records.
• Ensure that the completed building meets the required quality, functionality and design standards.

What We Are Looking For

• Master’s Degree in Architecture.
• ARCON registration is an added advantage.
• Seven to ten years of relevant architectural experience.
• Strong experience in luxury residential, premium retail, commercial interiors or high-end building projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, SketchUp and BIM workflows.
• Strong knowledge of rendering tools such as V-Ray, Lumion, 3ds Max or Twinmotion.
• Excellent understanding of construction detailing, interior space planning and material selection.
• Strong leadership, communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple consultants, contractors and project stakeholders.
• A sharp eye for luxury design, quality finishes and technical accuracy.

Portfolio Requirement:

• Applicants must submit a comprehensive portfolio together with their CV.
• The portfolio should demonstrate:
  • High-end architectural and interior design projects.
  • Concept development and design thinking.
  • High-quality 3D visualisations and renders.
  • Technical construction drawings and detailing sheets.
  • Evidence of project involvement from design development to construction delivery.
  • Completed projects or active projects in the pipeline.

Salary
N350,000 - N450,000 per month.
