Job Title: Steward / Housekeeper (Male Live-in)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a smart, polished, and highly professional Steward/Housekeeper to support a private residence occupied by one principal.
• This role combines exceptional housekeeping with premium table service and hospitality.
• The ideal candidate should have excellent personal presentation, strong communication skills, and an eye for detail, ensuring the home is maintained to the highest standards while delivering discreet and attentive service.
• A dedicated chef is already employed, so this role focuses on maintaining the home and serving meals professionally rather than cooking.

Key Responsibilities

• Housekeeping
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of all areas of the residence.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, sanitise, and ensure every room is consistently well presented.
• Handle laundry, ironing, wardrobe organisation, and garment care.
• Change bed linens and replenish household essentials as needed.
• Care for delicate surfaces, furniture, and household items using appropriate cleaning methods.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report replenishment needs.
• Stewarding & Service
• Professionally set and clear dining tables.
• Serve meals and beverages with proper etiquette.
• Coordinate with the chef to ensure seamless meal service.
• Keep the dining area immaculate before, during, and after meals.
• Welcome visitors courteously when required and maintain a high standard of hospitality.
• Assist with light beverage preparation and refreshment service.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a steward, housekeeper, or in luxury hospitality/private households.
• Smart, neat, and well-groomed appearance.
• Well-spoken with excellent verbal communication skills.
• Professional, respectful, and discreet at all times.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
• Honest, trustworthy, and dependable.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out housekeeping duties efficiently.
• Basic knowledge of table setting, food service etiquette, and household care is essential.
