Job Title: Laboratory Scientist

Location: NTA Road, Rumuosi - Port Harcourt - Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Laboratory Scientist is responsible for carrying out laboratory investigations, analyzing patient samples, ensuring accurate test results, maintaining laboratory equipment, and complying with quality assurance and safety standards to support effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests in accordance with approved procedures.
• Analyze, interpret and validate laboratory results before reporting.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Prepare reagents and ensure proper specimen handling.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance and infection prevention protocols.
• Report equipment faults and participate in troubleshooting.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and consumables.
• Participate in internal and external quality control programs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
• Valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
• 1–3 years of relevant laboratory experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of laboratory quality management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary
N140,000 Monthly
