We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Employer Engagement & Job Placement Lead
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-Time
About The Role
We are seeking a commercially minded relationship builder who can open doors with employers, understand their workforce requirements, and turn employer conversations into measurable hiring outcomes.
You will own the employer pipeline from initial prospecting and pitch through agreement, vacancy generation, candidate matching, placement, and partner retention.
Success in this role is not measured by the number of meetings held or events attended. It is measured by the quality of employers acquired, the hiring opportunities secured, and the number of programme participants successfully placed.
This is a target-driven B2B employer acquisition and placement role. It is not a conventional internal HR, general recruitment, programme coordination, public relations, or stakeholder-engagement position.
Key Responsibilitie
Develop and execute a focused employer acquisition and partnership strategy for the BPO ecosystem and related service sectors.
Research target organisations, map decision-makers, conduct structured outreach, pitch the programme, and maintain a qualified employer pipeline.
Qualify workforce needs and secure documented hiring commitments, vacancies, internships, apprenticeships, recruitment drives, or talent-pipeline access.
Negotiate and manage MOUs, partnership agreements, and practical collaboration frameworks that produce active employment opportunities.
Work with training, recruitment, and career-support teams to translate employer requirements into candidate profiles, matching, interviews, feedback, and placements.
Manage employer relationships after agreement, resolve concerns, support repeat hiring, and use employer feedback to improve candidate readiness.
Maintain accurate CRM records and prepare pipeline forecasts, placement reports, performance dashboards, and donor-compliance updates
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in employer engagement, B2B business development, partnership management, staffing or recruitment client acquisition, workforce development, employability, career services, or a related field.
Demonstrable experience personally sourcing and converting employer relationships—not only supporting partnerships after they have been secured.
Evidence of measurable outcomes such as employers acquired, signed commitments, vacancies generated, candidates placed, revenue or pipeline created, or targets achieved.
Strong prospecting, negotiation, presentation, account-management, CRM, reporting, and stakeholder-management capability.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hybrid environment and travel within the South-West region as required.
Added advantage: Experience within BPO, outsourcing, recruitment, staffing, digital-skills, training, education-to-employment, or donor-funded workforce programmes, together with an active network of employers or hiring decision-makers.
How Success will be Measured:
Qualified employers added to the active pipeline and converted into written hiring commitments.
Jobs, internships, apprenticeships, recruitment opportunities, and placements secured.
Achievement of employer-acquisition, placement, conversion, and partner-retention targets.
