Job Title: Heating and Air Conditioning Engineer

Role Description

• The Heating and Air Conditioning Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bonny.
• This role is responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining HVAC systems for industrial and commercial facilities, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and energy efficiency.
• Day-to-day tasks include conducting site assessments, preparing and reviewing HVAC design drawings, selecting equipment, supervising installations, and performing diagnostics and repairs on existing systems. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, use CAD tools to develop and update technical documentation, and ensure all work complies with relevant standards, regulations, and company quality procedures.
• The role also involves troubleshooting HVAC issues, planning preventive maintenance, and providing technical support to operations and maintenance personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience in HVAC engineering.
• Demonstrated proficiency in HVAC Engineering and HVAC system design, with the ability to plan and optimize heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions.
• Strong skills in HVAC and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating, reviewing, and updating technical drawings and system schematics.
• Experience with Maintenance & Repair of HVAC equipment, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance planning, and performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and energy efficiency practices relevant to HVAC systems in industrial and commercial settings.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, and to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to work on-site in an industrial environment in Bonny.
• Previous experience in the energy or oil and gas sector and familiarity with ISO-certified quality management environments is an advantage.
