Job Title: Agricultural Manager

Job Summary

• We are looking for an experienced Agricultural Manager to oversee daily farm operations, improve agricultural productivity, and manage personnel, equipment, and resources efficiently.
• The successful candidate will ensure optimal crop and livestock production while maintaining compliance with agricultural best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise all farming activities.
• Develop and implement annual farm production plans and budgets.
• Manage crop cultivation, livestock production, irrigation, and harvesting activities.
• Supervise farm workers and ensure productivity targets are achieved.
• Monitor soil health, fertilizer application, pest and disease control.
• Ensure proper maintenance of farm machinery and equipment.
• Maintain accurate farm records, production reports, and inventory.
• Monitor farm expenses and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Liaise with suppliers, government agencies, and agricultural consultants when necessary.
• Introduce modern farming technologies and best agricultural practices to improve yield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Crop Science, Animal Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years' practical experience managing commercial farm operations.
• Professional certifications in agriculture are an added advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of crop and livestock management.
• Budgeting and financial management skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and farm management software is an advantage.

Salary Range
N120,000 – N250,000 per month.
