The company delivers specialized engineering, maintenance, and chemical solutions across onshore, offshore, and deep-water environments.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HSE Officer

Location: Nigeria
Job type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

• Develop HSE plan and policies
• Coordinate risk assessment and job hazard analysis.
• Carry out environmental impact and aspect studies
• Perform safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery and equipment to identify and correct potential hazards
• Maintain HSE statistics
• Write reports detailing HSE Performance within assigned area
• Design and supervise the implementation of safe work procedures and TGI group HSE standards such as confined space, permit to work procedures among others.
• Enforce TGI group HSE standards across team within his assigned business unit
• Organize and facilitating HSE trainings and meetings.
• Conduct drills such as fire drills to ensure equipment is properly functioning and associates are aware of what to do in an emergency.
• Assist to facilitate safety toolbox meeting, conduct inductions and facilitated safety awareness trainings.
• Providing technical advice, coaching, guidance and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes.
• Assist in investigating of industrial accidents, near miss, injuries or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures and establish trends.
• Co-ordinate responses to emergencies involving health, safety and environment.
• Carry out workplace inspection
• Maintain HSE communication structure and system, distribution of HSE specific document to contractors/clients.
• To ensure compliance to applicable requirements.
• Monitor, Enforce and evaluate the compliance level of contractors and subcontractors to TGI group HSE Management System.
• Ensure readiness of firefighting systems by periodic checking and testing the same on weekly basis.
• Monitor the usages of personal protective equipment by the employees in the premises.
• To handle community related issues.
• To prepare HSE requirements for bid inline to bid requirements
• To review HSE PPE plan against the PPE Issuance record 
• To monitor the Competency of Emergency responders.
