Job Title: Assistant Chief Radiographer

About the Role

• Our client is recruiting to fill the role of Assistant Chief Radiographer.
• This is an opportunity to join a modern, multidisciplinary clinical environment committed to safe, effective and patient-centred care.
• The role entails providing senior supervision of radiography operations, supporting service leadership, and upholding radiation safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior supervision of imaging operations, supporting the deputy / head in leading the service.
• Supervise diagnostic imaging examinations and modality / section work, ensuring standards and throughput.
• Support rostering, workload allocation and skill-mix.
• Support radiation-safety compliance, audit and quality assurance.
• Support equipment readiness, fault escalation and maintenance coordination.
• Supervise, support and appraise junior imaging staff.

Requirements
Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Radiography / Medical Radiography (B.Rad / BSc Radiography) from a recognised institution, or an equivalent recognised radiography qualification.
• Completion of the required national internship and NYSC, or a valid exemption where applicable.

Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of post-registration experience in the relevant profession, including experience at Principal grade or equivalent.
• Substantial post-registration experience in radiography practice.
• Experience supervising and supporting junior radiography staff.
• Experience contributing to quality assurance and service improvement.

Nice To Have:

• Certification in a radiographic modality is an advantage.
• Knowledge of multi-specialty hospital or corporate hospital network operations.
• Familiarity with HMO-facing health systems or public-sector hospitals.
