Polo - Cico Farms and Estate Limited is a farm complex, into Greenhouse farming to produce varieties of pepper on large scale as weel as poultry and catfish production for both local and international markets.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Procurement Officer

Location: Omoku, Rivers
Reports To: Procurement Manager / Head of Procurement

Job Summary

• The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of goods and services required by the organization.
• The role ensures that procurement activities are carried out efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify organizational purchasing needs and prepare procurement plans.
• Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and service.
• Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to achieve the best value.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely processing.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to avoid stock shortages.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Verify that delivered items meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Analyze procurement data and prepare periodic reports on purchasing activities and cost savings.
• Resolve supplier issues, delivery delays, and quality concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field with at least two years OF working experience in procurement.
• Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is an added advantage.
• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
