Job Title: Group Head of Procurement

Summary

• The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that optimize costs, strengthen supplier partnerships, ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate supply chain risks, and deliver sustainable value across the organization.
• This role requires a commercially astute executive with extensive experience leading procurement functions in complex, multi-sector organizations and driving procurement transformation through innovation, governance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Group-wide procurement strategy in alignment with the organization’s corporate objectives.
• Provide strategic leadership for procurement activities across all subsidiaries, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and value creation.
• Lead strategic sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiations, procurement planning, and category management.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality, service delivery, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee supplier performance management through regular evaluations, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with business unit leaders to align procurement strategies with operational and commercial objectives.
• Ensure full compliance with corporate governance standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical procurement practices.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing procurement teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• A Master’s degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
• Professional certification such as MCIPS, CIPS, CPSM, or an equivalent procurement qualification is highly preferred.
• 15–20 years of progressive procurement and supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a large, diversified organization.
• Proven experience managing procurement across multiple industries, including Oil & Gas, Engineering, Construction, Maritime, Hospitality, Real Estate, FinTech, and Security Services.
• Demonstrated experience implementing ERP and e-procurement solutions to enhance procurement efficiency.
• Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, corporate governance, compliance, and enterprise risk management.
• Excellent commercial, financial, analytical, negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
