Job Title: HR / Admin Officer

Job Summary
The Human Resource Officer will be responsible for coordinating and managing the full spectrum of Human Resource functions, including recruitment and selection, onboarding, payroll administration, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, HR documentation, policy implementation, compliance, and staff development.
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of HR best practices, Nigerian labour laws, and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Preference will be given to qualified male candidates as part of our commitment to maintaining gender balance within the team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and onboarding.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure all personnel documentation is complete, updated, and securely filed.
Prepare and process monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely salary administration.
Administer employee compensation, benefits, statutory deductions, pensions, and other HR-related payments.
Coordinate performance management activities, including probation reviews, performance appraisals, and employee development plans.
Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws, company policies, and statutory regulations.
Manage employee onboarding, orientation, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exit processes.
Prepare HR reports, staff analytics, and workforce data for management decision-making.
Coordinate employee training, learning, and development initiatives.
Support management in manpower planning and workforce optimization.
Maintain confidentiality of employee information and sensitive HR records.
Liaise with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders on HR-related matters where required.
Perform any other HR-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc. or HND) in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in a Human Resources role with responsibility for core HR functions.
Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labour Law and HR best practices.
Experience handling recruitment, payroll administration, compensation and benefits, performance management, and employee documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
Experience using HRIS or payroll software is an added advantage.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
