Job Description

• The Head of Architecture is responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership for all architectural functions within CasaLavoro Limited.
• The role oversees the planning, design, coordination, and execution of architectural projects from concept to completion, ensuring that all developments meet the Company's quality standards, regulatory requirements, budget, and project timelines.
• The Head of Architecture also leads the architectural team, collaborates with consultants and project stakeholders, and drives innovation and excellence across the Company's real estate developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Must possess exceptional architectural design capabilities with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative, functional, and aesthetically outstanding projects
• Lead and oversee all architectural activities across the Company's real estate development projects.
• Develop and implement the department's architectural strategy in alignment with the Company's business objectives.
• Review, approve, and ensure the quality of architectural concepts, designs, drawings, and construction documentation.
• Ensure all architectural designs comply with applicable building codes, planning regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to architects, site architects, and design consultants.
• Coordinate with Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying, and Project Management teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Conduct design reviews and value engineering exercises to optimize project quality, cost, and functionality.
• Supervise architectural site inspections to ensure construction aligns with approved drawings and specifications.
• Manage relationships with external consultants, contractors, regulatory authorities, and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor departmental budgets, project schedules, and resource allocation to ensure efficient project execution.
• Lead the preparation and presentation of architectural proposals and project reports to Executive Management.
• Drive innovation by introducing modern architectural solutions, sustainable design practices, and emerging technologies.
• Establish and maintain architectural standards, templates, and quality assurance processes across all projects.
• Mentor, coach, and develop members of the architectural team while conducting regular performance evaluations.
• Identify and mitigate architectural risks that may impact project delivery.
• Ensure timely resolution of design conflicts and site-related architectural issues.
• Support business development initiatives by providing architectural expertise during project feasibility and acquisition stages.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc / B.Tech.) or Master's Degree in Architecture.
• Registration with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) is required.
• Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) is an added advantage.
• 8–10 years post-qualification experience in architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale residential, commercial, mixed-use, or hospitality developments.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and consultants.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, Lumion, and other architectural design software.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian building regulations, planning approvals, and construction standards.
• Excellent understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality control processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
