The Federal University of Technology, Babura (FUTB) is a federal government-owned tertiary institution located in Babura, Jigawa State, Northwestern Nigeria. Established in June 2021 under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, the university was founded to bridge the equity gap in the distribution of higher learning institutions and accelerate technological and medical advancement in Nigeria.

Job Title: Registrar

Location: Babura, Jigawa

Job Summary

• The Registrar is a Principal Officer and the Chief Administrative Officer of the University, responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for day-to-day administration.
• The Registrar serves as Secretary to Council, Senate, Congregation, and Convocation.

Qualifications

• At least a Second Class (Lower Division) Honours degree in a relevant field (e.g., Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Administration, etc.) from a recognized University.
• Possession of higher degree(s) in a relevant subject is an advantage.
• Must be computer literate.
• Member of at least one recognized professional body such as NIM, IPMN, ANUPA, etc.
• Must possess an NYSC Discharge Certificate, Exemption Certificate, or Certificate of Exclusion.

Experience:

• At least fifteen (15) years post-qualification experience, ten (10) of which should be relevant to University Administration.
• Must have been a Deputy Registrar and served at a managerial level in a University.

Age & Health:

• Age: Must not be more than sixty (60) years of age at the time of appointment.
• Health: Must enjoy good health to be able to endure the rigors of the duties of the position.

Duration & Condition of Service

• Duration: Single term of five (5) years.

Condition of Service
Attracts all rights and benefits of occupants of such an office in the Nigerian University System.
