Job Summary

• We are seeking a talented, innovative, and detail-oriented Front-End Developer to join our development team on a contract basis.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining responsive, high-performing, and user-friendly web applications that deliver exceptional digital experiences.
• As a Front-End Developer, you will work closely with UI/UX Designers, Product Managers, Back-End Developers, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders to transform business requirements and design concepts into fully functional web interfaces. You will ensure
• applications are visually appealing, accessible, optimized for performance, and compatible across modern browsers and devices. The successful candidate must possess strong technical expertise in modern front-end technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for building intuitive digital products.
• This role requires someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, embraces continuous learning, and is committed to writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.

Key Responsibilities

• Front-End Development: Design, develop, and maintain modern, responsive, and interactive web applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular. Ensure applications are scalable, reusable, and maintainable by following industry best practices and coding standards.
• User Interface Implementation: Translate UI/UX designs, wireframes, and prototypes into high-quality web interfaces that provide seamless user experiences. Ensure consistency in layout, typography, spacing, colors, animations, and interactions while maintaining design integrity across all pages.
• Responsive Web Design: Develop applications that function optimally across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. Implement responsive layouts using CSS frameworks or modern responsive design techniques to ensure excellent user experiences regardless of screen size.
• Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensure websites and applications perform consistently across major web browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Opera. Identify compatibility issues and implement appropriate fixes to guarantee consistent functionality.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize application performance by reducing page load times, minimizing unnecessary API calls, compressing assets, implementing lazy loading, code splitting, caching strategies, and other performance enhancement techniques to improve user experience.
• API Integration: Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate RESTful APIs and other web services into front-end applications. Ensure accurate data rendering, efficient communication between systems, and proper handling of asynchronous requests.
• Code Quality and Maintenance: Write clean, modular, reusable, and well-documented code that complies with coding standards. Conduct regular refactoring to improve maintainability while minimizing technical debt.
• Bug Fixing and Troubleshooting: Identify, investigate, and resolve front-end issues, defects, and usability problems in a timely manner. Perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions that improve system stability.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute front-end testing processes including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance support. Collaborate with QA teams to ensure applications meet quality standards before deployment.
• Collaboration and Agile Participation: Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Version Control Management: Utilize Git and other version control systems to manage code repositories, create feature branches, perform pull requests, resolve merge conflicts, and maintain organized development workflows.
• Security Best Practices: Implement secure coding practices to minimize vulnerabilities such as Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF), and other front-end security threats while ensuring compliance with organizational security standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in Front-End Development.
• Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrated experience developing responsive web applications.
• Experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs.
• Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments is desirable.
