Job Title: Female Hotel Accountant

Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• Our client, a reputable hotel in Surulere, Lagos, is seeking a competent and detail-oriented Female
• Hotel Accountant to manage the hotel's financial records, ensure accurate reporting, monitor revenue and expenses, and maintain strong financial controls.
• The ideal candidate must have practical accounting experience in the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts and general ledger.
• Reconcile bank statements, cash, and POS transactions.
• Monitor daily hotel revenue, room sales, restaurant sales, and other income streams.
• Prepare payment vouchers, process supplier payments, and manage petty cash.
• Ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
• Assist in preparing budgets, cash flow reports, and management accounts.
• Compute and remit statutory deductions and taxes where applicable.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of HND/B.Sc Degree in Accounting.
• 1–2 years' relevant accounting experience in a hotel or hospitality business.
• Membership or progress towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g. ICAN or ACCA) is an added advantage.

Required Skills:

• Sound knowledge of financial accounting and bookkeeping.
• Good understanding of hotel accounting procedures and revenue controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 per month.
