Job Summary

• Our client in the Shipping and Logistics sector is seeking an experienced Inland Coordinator to manage the efficient movement of cargo from ports to customer locations, ensuring timely delivery, operational excellence, and compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate inland transportation of import and export cargo.
• Schedule and monitor truck movements to ensure timely cargo delivery.
• Liaise with transporters, terminal operators, shipping lines, clearing agents, and customers.
• Track shipments and provide regular operational updates.
• Ensure accurate transport documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor truck turnaround time to minimize demurrage and detention costs.
• Resolve operational issues affecting cargo movement.
• Prepare operational reports and monitor logistics performance.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in shipping, freight forwarding, logistics, or inland transportation operations.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian port operations and container logistics.
• Excellent coordination, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with logistics or transport management systems is an added advantage.
