A Leading Aviation Company in Nigeria opening new FBO and is seeking to employ a Sales & Marketing Head for its operations.
The Sales & Marketing Manager is an integral part of the company’s managerial structure directly reporting to the Company’s CEO.
The Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for maintaining and expanding existing clients’ base, managing client relations, identifying new market opportunities and trends, following up on competition.
The Sales and Marketing Client base includes FBO Clients, Fuel Clients, Maintenance Clients, Charter Clients, Aircraft Sales Clients & Helicopter Clients.
The role oversees all aspects of the company’s day to day Marketing & Sales Department operations in order to ensure compliance with the company’s policy and procedures and highest level of service.
The overall purpose is to deliver safe, efficient and timely service to our clients by utilizing all available resources.
Responsibilities/Duties
The role embraces but not restricted to the following duties:
Marketing of all FBO services, Maintenance services, Fuel Services, Charter Services, Aircraft Sales Services, Helicopters Services to Client base which includes, Jet owners, Crew, High Net Worth Individuals, Aviation Managers, custodians of Aircraft
Build and Coordinate team within the Marketing Department;
Develop and implement company’s marketing strategy;
Overlook development of marketing materials, presentations and current product knowledge, represent the company at trade exhibitions and conferences, increase company’s brand awareness in alliance with Corporate Dept;
Ensure existing clients retention and generate of new business, promote new services to existing clients;
Monitor market trends and competitors activity, identify new opportunities for business development;
Paying visits to new and existing clients from time to time to discuss new potential and resolve any existing issues;
Achieve profitable business growth in line with company’s business plan;
Coordinate activities the Jet Fuel Desk in Operations to avoid duplication of duties and increase efficiency;
Providing practical solutions to the management based on customer feedback as well as formulate strategies to help achieve growth;
Maintain Clients Database and ensure this and other databases are regularly updated;
Ensuring that all service worksheets, templates, electronic and paper folders are up-to date;
Develop & implement improved CRM software by gaining a full understanding of departmental needs;
Keeping track of client’s creditworthiness through various means (including informal) to ensure minimum credit exposure risk to the company;
To take responsibility and accountability for the daily operations and standards of the Marketing Department;
Assist the managerial team in ensuring their staff are trained to the same standards, to assist with coaching, developing and training staff as required within the Marketing Department;
Writing Standard Operational Procedure for the Marketing Department;
Conduct Staff Appraisal and present the results to the management & HR;
Assist the Managerial team in investigating complaints and issues relating to the Marketing Department, responding to these issues accordingly and promptly;
Represent the Marketing Department as and when required internally and externally.
Skills and Requirements
Relevant degree in related field
5+years of experience and know-how in a similar role in sales and marketing in aviation field whereby leadership & change has been proven;
Aviation related professional background (Aviation/Aircraft knowledge is essential) is essential;
Must have understanding of aviation markets, pricing strategies, financial management; Project management/consultancy experience is beneficial;
Ability to juggle multiple priorities under time constraints.
Utilize and actively demonstrate creativity and flexibility whilst solving customers’ problems;
Patience and ability to deal with challenges, whilst at the same time extracting the highest standards from your team;
Professional integrity and total commitment to outstanding customer service;
Strong geographical knowledge;
Proven (high) social network within the industry, well-established contacts within the industry;
Networking and lobbying skills on decision-maker level;
Ability to identify business opportunities and trends and capitalize on them.

Ability to travel is essential for this position;
Oral and written Fluency in English is a must; additional languages are beneficial.
