Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Location: Lagos
Job Summary:
The company COO must be strong and highly experienced in the service industry to assist the CEO in the day-to-day management of its operations.
Responsibilities:
- Support the CEO in defining the overall strategy of the company
- Management of day-to-day operations by establishing efficient agile processes
- Have logistical and facility operation abilities
- Advise the management team on key planning issues and make recommendations on important business decisions.
- Strategic planning and resource allocation; establish operational processes/ process improvement
- Ensure quality control of all company output as pertains to customer acquisition and delivery of services
- Ensure all department heads are fully informed of operational objectives; set operational and / or performance goals for each department which are aggressive, achievable and tied to long-term goals
- Establish and monitor performance reporting systems; monitor department performance against performance goals to ensure that progress is being made
- Conduct regular meetings with department heads to ensure that priorities are clear and coordination is good.
- Ensure activities comply with organisational requirements for quality management, legal stipulations, and general duty of care.
Qualification and Requirements:
- Ability to set priorities; lead, plan and manage change
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong time management and negotiation skills
- Proven track record of effectively leading organizational transformation projects
- Strong ability to energize large teams and keep them motivated
- Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management
- Strong management background and excellent project management skills.
- Minimum of 1st degree in a relevant discipline
- MBA is an added advantage
- Minimum of 7 years experience
- Proven result in a similar role and familiar with fast-paced and highly entrepreneurial environments
