Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Location: Lagos

Job Summary:
The company COO must be strong and highly experienced in the service industry to assist the CEO in the day-to-day management of its operations.

Responsibilities:

Support the CEO in defining the overall strategy of the company
Management of day-to-day operations by establishing efficient agile processes
Have logistical and facility operation abilities
Advise the management team on key planning issues and make recommendations on important business decisions.
Strategic planning and resource allocation; establish operational processes/ process improvement
Ensure quality control of all company output as pertains to customer acquisition and delivery of services
Ensure all department heads are fully informed of operational objectives; set operational and / or performance goals for each department which are aggressive, achievable and tied to long-term goals
Establish and monitor performance reporting systems; monitor department performance against performance goals to ensure that progress is being made
Conduct regular meetings with department heads to ensure that priorities are clear and coordination is good.
Ensure activities comply with organisational requirements for quality management, legal stipulations, and general duty of care.

Qualification and Requirements:

Ability to set priorities; lead, plan and manage change
Strong organizational and communication skills
Strong time management and negotiation skills
Proven track record of effectively leading organizational transformation projects
Strong ability to energize large teams and keep them motivated
Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management
Strong management background and excellent project management skills.
Minimum of 1st degree in a relevant discipline
MBA is an added advantage
Minimum of 7 years experience
Proven result in a similar role and familiar with fast-paced and highly entrepreneurial environments
